I am a DevOps and Cloud Engineer with 10 years experience working in technology. I have worked primarily as a web developer in ASP.NET and C#, and then SharePoint/Office 365. Along came Azure AD and Azure, and my journey started to learn Azure. AWS came next and DevOps was a good fit for me given my early dev background, and my understanding in Business Management principles such as Lean, which is where DevOps stems from.
This site and the accompanying GitHub repo has been built to showcase my skills and provide practical insight into my abilities and projects. I am a member of the British Computer Society and Cloud Industry Forum. My strategy around learning revolves around: 1) Labs/practise (code stored in GitHub) 2) Reading ebooks and watching webinars and 3) Attending conferences.

Powershell: My current role uses Powershell for the automation and administration of AWS/Azure cloud platforms.

Azure: I am experienced in the administration of Azure services, such as App Services, Virtual Machines, AAD, VNETs, queues, event hubs and event grids. I also have experience in Azure preperation for adoption (subscription, accounts, etc).

AWS: I have worked on AWS projects, where I have needed to configure various services as well undertaking large scale migrations.

Terraform: I have moved towards a way of working for using Terraform for automated provisioning, and IaC principles.
Cloud Migration: I've worked with other IT teams to discuss refactoring monolithic applications into cloud native architectures and used cloud migration services such as SMS, Azure ASR.
